Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and recognizing performance; promote a belonging mindset and effective communication of expectations.
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying goals, and monitoring progress toward results.
  • Lead and develop teams through training, feedback, store tours, and collaboration across all levels of associates on store operations, merchandising, and company direction; implement business solutions and drive change.
  • Model exceptional customer service standards and support customer initiatives; resolve issues and implement action plans to improve the customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Open Door Policy, and ethics standards while guiding business processes and practices.
  • Drive financial performance by reviewing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation and inventory flow.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive workplace; promote teamwork, trust, and impactful communication; mentor others and recognize contributions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and training; for facilities with ammunition: may require a state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Associates must complete all required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership via Live Better U and Bellevue University; or related leadership and supervision experience managing 5+ direct reports with performance management responsibilities.
