Our client is a global consultancy looking to hire an Audio Engineer for their production department.

Locations: New York City – Hybrid
Bill Rate: $38-43/hr
Start date: November
Term: 3-6 months
Hours: 9 am–6 pm ET (flexible to start earlier or work late as required by business needs)

The role focuses on delivering exceptional audio production across various environments, including video and audio studios, on-location shoots, and podcast series. Key responsibilities include:

• Setting up and operating audio equipment efficiently.
• Mixing audio for interviews and podcasts to achieve clear, engaging sound quality.
• Directing voice talent to capture the best performances.
• Designing creative soundscapes that enhance the content.
• Producing polished final mixes ready for distribution.

Essential experience includes managing multi-camera video podcast editing, utilizing cloud-based recording platforms, and overseeing all phases of podcast production from inception to release.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in media production.
• Strong skills in audio and video podcast production.
• Proficiency with audio mixing and editing software such as Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, and Pro Tools.
• Excellent project management and communication abilities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, demonstrates creative problem-solving skills, and is flexible with work hours. Occasional travel may be part of the role.
