Job Overview
The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. As a Community Manager, you will manage all phases of the operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personnel Management: Use consistent techniques & company directives to screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff.
- Financial Management: Achieve the highest possible net operating income through the implementation of effective cost control and revenue & leasing improvement.
- Strategic Leasing Management: Develop yearly marketing plan and utilize marketing strategies & systems.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management: Ensure all administrative & leasing reporting is accurate, complete, and submitted on a timely basis.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four year’s experience in the housing industry.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
- Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
- Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others to exchange information.
- The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- The employee is occasionally required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, step stools, and the like.
License/Equipment
- Must have reliable transportation due to the emergency on-call requirement.
Salary Range
$86,000 per year to $87,700 per year
