Freelance Copywriter Fashion/Apparel Job at Solomon Page in New York

We are working on a full time freelance role with a top fashion/ Apparel company working on their digital and print collateral. Role is based in NYC in their midtown office. Looking for Associate level.The role is 3 months to start. You will work with creative, digital and merchant departments to prepare product equity, copy, and multi-media content for print and web, under the direction of Marketing. Also serves as a global content hunter/gatherer, tapping into every aspect of the target customer's lifestyle to provide a cohesive, coherent voice for the brand across all marketing channels.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain brand voice.
• Responsible for developing all customer facing copy across all marketing channels: all digital and store copy including product descriptions and signage
• Craft seasonal brand narratives and marketing strategies
• Fluent in fashion... well versed in apparel and accessory construction including fabrication, silhouettes, trends
• On the pulse of specialty retail, pop culture, social trends and travel
• Editorial thinker with a marketing drive
• Ensures that updated product or marketing information is routed to team members including the Web team, art department, brand team, and all others who apply

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of agency or in-house related experience required. Consumer experience writing print, direct mail, and collateral. Business-to-business experience is a plus
• 3+ years experience in retail, advertising, public relations or marketing with a strong emphasis on copywriting and editing
• 2+ years experience working in e-commerce
• Demonstrates knowledge of fashion and pop culture lexicons
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet application
