Position Purpose:
This position plays a dual role in ensuring marketing operations excellence and creating engaging content that drives customer engagement, retention, and loyalty for First Carolina Bank, including its subsidiaries; BM Technologies, Inc. and BankMobile. The role owns the critical processes related to review and approval of marketing and servicing collateral, ensures compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines, and manages audit processes. In addition, this role creates and deploys multi-channel content (social media, email, digital) to support customer lifecycle goals, campaign execution, and the overall marketing strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist the Director - Marketing in managing and executing the overarching social media strategy, including campaign planning, content calendar development, performance tracking, and cross-platform alignment.
• Manage content review and stakeholder approval workflows, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of marketing and servicing communications.
• Assist the Director - Marketing with developing and executing marketing assets including social media content, email campaigns, service communications, and in-app/digital messaging.
• Execute projects within marketing tools, including BMAS (Internal content management system) and ESPs (currently Braze and Constant Contact), including creating and deploying emails.
• Oversee the management of customer lists within ESPs on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Conduct research and regularly track key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media and website analytics, ensuring alignment with First Carolina Bank's marketing goals.
• Collaborate with external marketing vendors as necessary to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
• Maintain connections with evolving marketing trends, tools and benchmarks to optimize campaign performance.
• Provide reporting insights to leadership on campaign performance, engagement trends, and retention metrics.
• Work independently and collaboratively, taking initiative to support other corporate projects and ensure workload and productivity is aligned with capacity expectations.
• Work as the key contact for marketing audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Authority, Impact, Risk:
• Ensures that appropriate due diligence is exercised in content creation, approvals, and deployment so that UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, BSA, and other applicable marketing, compliance, and legal regulations are adhered to.
• Exercises good judgment that balances risk to shareholders and customer experience when making decisions.
• Builds an understanding of the marketing tools and other important systems including but not limited to Silverlake, BMAS, ADO, Braze, Oracle, and Constant Contact.
• Comply with all marketing, brand, and compliance requirements, policies, and procedures and attend all mandatory compliance and regulatory training, as well as owning the compliance and audit processes.
Key Relationships:
• All internal business line leaders across Marketing, Compliance, Audit, Customer Care, Product, Fraud, PMO, Technology, XD, Legal, Applied Analytics, Sales, and Client Ops.
• All external vendors related to marketing

Job Specifications:

Required:
• Strong writing skills as it relates to communications (both service/operational- and marketing/advertising-related communications);
NOTE: writing samples will be requested as a part of the interview process for this role
• Experience in marketing communications, proofreading, and campaign execution.
• Experience with content creation for both marketing promotions and service messages.
• Proven ability for attention to detail, making decisions, and effectively meeting deliverable expectations and deadlines.
• Bachelor's in Business (Marketing preferred) and 3-7 years of professional experience in lieu of college degree required.
• 3+ years in a regulated industry (e.g., banking, automotive, insurance, medical) with marketing or advertising background, campaign execution, compliance/QA content review and/or relationship management skills.
• Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests and changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Excel required.
Preferred:
• Marketing-related design skills a plus.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with marketing content creation across multiple channels (email, social, digital assets).
• Familiarity with CRM and analytics platforms (Braze, GA4, Smartsheet, or similar) preferred, with ability to translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Foundational knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing and retention strategies strongly desired.
