Social Media Manager (Team Lead)

to shape and grow our digital presence. In this leadership volunteer role, you’ll oversee content strategy, coordinate a small team, manage social channels, and ensure our voice remains compassionate, consistent, and aligned with our mission of stigma-free emotional care. What You’ll Do Develop and implement social media strategy across platforms Lead and coordinate a small volunteer marketing/content team Design and manage the monthly content calendar and posting schedule Create or oversee engaging, trauma-informed content Optimize digital campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.) Monitor performance analytics (engagement, reach, growth, CTR, conversions) Stay on top of platform trends and audience behavior Provide insights on tone, content types, and best timing Conduct light competitive and audience research What You’ll Need Experience in social media strategy and content planning Proficiency with schedulers (e.g., Buffer, Later, Meta Business Suite) Ability to lead a small remote team and assign tasks Strong writing and editing skills for digital platforms Working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn best practices Basic Canva or design tool proficiency Ability to interpret platform metrics and adapt content accordingly Strong organizational skills in a remote setting Familiarity with trauma-informed, inclusive communication Fluency in Ukrainian strongly preferred; Russian/English welcome We’ll Provide Flexible, remote volunteer experience Leadership experience in U.S. nonprofit communications Letter of recommendation upon successful completion Hands-on work in mental health and digital advocacy Access to internal resources, learning tools, and self-development opportunities Mentorship from Hugspace leadership A meaningful way to support emotional safety and connection Time Commitment Approx. 15 hours per week (flexible timing) 3–6 months minimum commitment preferred How to Apply Please email your resume and a brief message outlining your background and why this opportunity resonates with you to:
