Join Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group as a Lead Audio Technician – 'Auana

We are seeking a Lead Audio Technician to lead our Audio team at our resident show, 'Auana, in Honolulu, HI. The Lead Audio Technician will manage the department, install, maintain, and operate audio equipment, and provide supporting services.

Responsibilities:

• Manage employees and weekly scheduling of the department crew
• Assist with departmental budget, ordering, and receiving goods
• Work with technical management, artistic staff, and stage management to support their needs
• Mix the FOH console, operate audio equipment, and troubleshoot issues
• Inspect and maintain audio archives, RF, video, and communications equipment
• Develop knowledge of all audio department equipment
• Ensure proper documentation of departmental designs, equipment, and procedures
• Lead collaboration efforts for special projects
• Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with others
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and promote a safe working environment

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience operating and maintaining audio systems in a large-scale production
• Proficiency in operating audio, RF, video, and communications equipment
• Working knowledge of MIDI, DANTE, AVID S6L, Freespeak, Audio Architect, and Microsoft applications
• Strong understanding of digital test equipment and networking protocols
• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
• Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 course completion card
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Compensation: $42.84 USD/hour
