Overview

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with 7 locations across 7 states. Our programs include detox, residential, PHP, IOP and outpatient services and an evidence-based clinical curriculum. We seek talented, passionate clinicians to join the Avenues family and make a real difference in the recovery community.

What You'll Do

• Design therapeutic musical interventions based on therapeutic goals
• Plan and provide music therapy sessions to improve clients' physical and mental health
• Monitor client progress to measure the effectiveness of sessions
• Collaborate regularly with clinical staff to track client challenges and progress
• Maintain thorough documentation of all sessions conducted
• Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting are complete

What We're Looking For

• Degree/certification in music or music therapy
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required
• Proficiency in playing and teaching music
• Group facilitation experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and observational skills
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
• Warm, supportive, dignified character which inspires trust and models recovery principles

Where You'll Work

Avenues Recovery Center at Eastern Shore is a 100-bed residential facility offering inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation services. The building is newly renovated, modern, and appealing, with a true hotel-like experience, set on 7.74 acres. Our multidisciplinary staff include therapists, clinicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, addictions counselors, and behavioral health technicians trained in key therapeutic modalities, providing compassionate, dignified care each day.
