Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $60.00/hr

We are seeking a RAN Engineer to support large-scale telecom network initiatives. This role blends RAN technology expertise, system engineering, and light software development skills. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with RAN business stakeholders to define requirements, shape architecture, and support growth and modernization of RAN spectrum, including 5G expansion.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

  • Partner with business-side RAN teams to identify opportunities, build business cases, and define growth projections.
  • Scope and translate new initiatives into clear requirements and system-level solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions, ensuring alignment with enterprise RAN strategy.
  • Lead/support telecom network projects, including Ericsson integration and 5G spectrum growth and expansion.
  • Provide system engineering leadership while leveraging light development skills (Java preferred).
  • Collaborate across telecom engineering and software teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Represent the engineering team with professionalism, technical depth, and strong communication.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

  • 5–7 years of RAN engineering and telecom networking experience.
  • Proven system engineering background with ability to scope, define, and deliver requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Nokia migrations; Ericsson expertise highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with 5G technologies and spectrum growth projects.
  • Light development skills (Java preferred) to interface with software teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain and prove RAN expertise in both business and technical contexts.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Telecom consulting background or cross-carrier industry experience.
  • Knowledge of additional telecom vendors and RAN technologies.
  • Adaptability and resilience to manage shifting priorities in large-scale initiatives.
