Position Purpose:
As a Kitchen and Bath Design Consultant, you will play a vital role in enhancing customer experience by supporting three main store priorities: Customers First, In Stock, and Store Appearance. Your primary focus will be on providing excellent service, assisting customers with their kitchen and bath projects, and ensuring that our displays are welcoming and well-stocked. By doing so, you will contribute to driving sales and achieving store objectives. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: Deliver fast and friendly service to all customers. Proactively engage with customers in the store. Greet customers warmly with a smile and eye contact. Utilize open-ended questions to understand customer needs and project requirements. Maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm while assisting customers. Handle multiple customers effectively when necessary. Express gratitude to customers for choosing The Home Depot. Follow up with customers via telephone when required. Possess in-depth knowledge of products and services offered by The Home Depot. Respond to customer inquiries based on their level of expertise. Highlight the features and benefits of merchandise clearly. Outline steps needed to complete projects and recommend the right products. Assist customers with special orders and installation services. Nature and Scope: Work environment may have uneven surfaces due to routine store operations. Expect exposure to a warehouse setting that can be dusty and noisy. Doors may frequently be open, leading to drafts and temperature fluctuations. Wet weather conditions may lead to slippery flooring in work areas. Be prepared to manage merchandise that may have sharp edges. Be aware of fumes from passing forklifts during your shift. Handle tools and supplies that may contain hazardous materials.
