Job Summary This Associate Community Manager role is a critical part of the support for Nexon America’s in-development content creation platform – MapleStory Worlds. The position is responsible for supporting the team on MapleStory Worlds. This includes moderating and monitoring player community channels, designing player-focused community engagement programs, creating engaging community content, and reporting community issues.
Job Responsibilities Represent a voice for players by providing comprehensive reports on player facing community feedback, issues, concerns, and trends to stakeholders in order to address the communities’ for MapleStory Worlds
Foster a positive and inclusive environment for our players by constantly monitoring and moderating user generated contents within both Nexon-owned and non-Nexon-owned community channels and actively communicating with players for MapleStory Worlds
Engage our players by assisting the Community Manager with creating unique content and messaging to be published through our websites and community channels for MapleStory Worlds
Promote awareness of the MapleStory Worlds platform to outside communities by assisting the Community Manager with fostering organic partnerships and collaborations with developer communities
Manage and maintain positive relationships with our community partners, such as our MapleStory Worlds volunteer support networks
Other duties as assigned
Work Experience 1+ years of community management experience with proven track record of success
Experience on a game creation platform like Roblox or Fortnite preferred
Project management and organizational experience
Discord, Forums, and/or community tools experience
Livestreaming experience on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch
Website or other content management experience
Working with overseas partners and adapting to those workflow processes, preferred
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge/Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Strong ability to self-motivate and schedule one’s tasks accordingly
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of marketing and/or game production
Ability to work with cross-functional internal teams such as brand marketing, social media, and creative teams
Understanding of social media channels with a focus on building and maintaining communities
Able to plan and execute community initiatives and tasks on a yearly, monthly, and weekly basis
Ability to create and document processes/proposals clearly
General knowledge of web post formatting, CMS systems / HTML
Must be able to work effectively both individually and as a team member
Scheduled and non-scheduled overtime can be required, including weekends

Compensation Description For Pay Transparency The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $25.00 - $31.00 hourly.
