Ad Filmmaker (Cinematic Short-Form) Job at Residence Supply in Miami

Overview

Residence Supply is a design-driven lighting & hardware brand seeking to elevate content to a cinematic level. We are not hiring a corporate “content creator”; we want a filmmaker who can shoot, edit, and craft storytelling that positions Residence Supply as a film studio rather than a furniture company. Proficiency with AI tools such as Higgsfield, ChatGPT, Kling, and Midjourney to create cinematic scenes is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Create short films (45s–3 min) that tell stories, not ads
• Shoot cinematic product/lifestyle footage with an indie-film feel
• Use ChatGPT/Midjourney + Higgsfield/Kling to create cinematic scenes
• Edit for retention and emotion across YouTube, TikTok, IG
• Handle sound design + color so the final cut feels alive
• Pitch story arcs, not just hooks — aim for binge-worthy content

What You Bring

• Reel/portfolio that emphasizes storytelling, not montages
• Ability to concept → shoot → edit solo (camera/audio/editing all-in-one)
• Passion for cinematic storytelling; bonus for short films, docu-style, or Vimeo Staff Pick vibes
• Knowledge of keeping viewers engaged on TikTok/YouTube while maintaining a cinematic feel
• Hungry, obsessive, storytelling energy

What We’re Offering

• Start with a paid test project ($1,000–$1,500 for a 45–90s brand short film + cutdowns)
• If you crush it: Full-time role at $55K–$70K
• 10 PTO days per year
• Growth track to Creative Director as we scale our in-house studio
• Founder-level mentorship and brand that provides full creative runway

How You Fit Into the Team

You’ll work directly with the founder and the content team. Day-to-day, you’re the filmmaker who sets the visual tone. If your dream is to say “I built the storytelling DNA of a brand from scratch” — this is it.
