Location

Renewal by Andersen (RbA) Detroit market. A sales class is scheduled to begin on December 1, 2025. The Design Consultant will join a growing team in this market and will work with homeowners in the Detroit area.

Position purpose

Design consultants deliver a world-class homeowner experience through in-home sales consultations lasting about 90 minutes. They conduct 8 to 12 appointments per week, showcasing Renewal by Andersen’s exclusive product and installation process. Success requires emotional intelligence, active listening, and the ability to recommend and close on solutions that meet customer needs. Consultants are trained to offer a wide range of window, patio door, and entry door options.

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home sales consultations, including leveraging an iPad and augmented reality to design and build window and door replacement solutions. Follow Renewal Sales and measurement processes through to completion and submit contracts and paperwork for each project.
• Drive a personal vehicle and sit for long periods during in-home appointments (up to 1,800–2,500 miles per month).
• Attend and actively participate in sales meetings, trainings, and branch meetings.
• Support the sales project process during technical measurements, including documentation, follow-through, order changes, discounting guidelines, and maintaining contact with homeowners.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong persuasive skills with the ability to overcome objections and close sales.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with a passion for delivering a world-class homeowner experience.
• Value collaboration and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude and drive to exceed goals in a competitive industry.
• Basic computer and iPad skills.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license or ability to obtain one (state requirements vary).
• Physically able to lift/move items up to 53 pounds and to sit, walk, and climb stairs as needed.
• Meet and maintain company sales metrics and performance expectations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or minimum 2 years of experience.

Salary Information & Benefits

Pay is based on factors including experience, education, location, and certifications. Successful candidates are typically expected to earn over $150,000 per year.
