Position Purpose

Design consultants deliver a world-class homeowner experience through in-home sales consultations lasting about 90 minutes. They conduct 8 to 12 appointments per week, showcasing Renewal by Andersen’s exclusive products and installation process. Success requires emotional intelligence, active listening, and the ability to recommend and close on solutions that meet customer needs. Consultants are trained to offer a wide range of window, patio door, and entry door options.

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home sales consultations, leveraging an iPad and augmented reality to design and build window and door replacement solutions for homeowners. Follow established Renewal Sales and measurements processes through to completion, submitting contracts and paperwork for each project.
  • Drive personal vehicle and travel to in-home appointments, up to 1,800–2,500 miles per month.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, trainings, and branch meetings.
  • Support the sales project process during technical measurements, documentation, order changes, discounting guidelines, and homeowner communication.

Qualifications

  • Strong persuasive skills and ability to overcome objections and close sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication; passionate about delivering a world-class homeowner experience.
  • Collaborative mindset; builds strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive attitude and drive to exceed goals in a competitive industry.
  • Basic computer/iPad skills; valid driver’s license and ability to obtain in-home state license (varies by state).
  • Ability to lift up to 53 pounds and perform frequent sitting, walking, and climbing.
  • Meet and maintain company sales metrics and performance expectations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or minimum 2 years of experience.
