Overview

Works under the supervision of the Nursing Manager/Supervisor and therapy department. Administers restorative care treatments as determined by the interdisciplinary team. Documents restorative care in EMR and monitors CNA documentation when they provide restorative care to residents.

What You Will Do

• Maintain appropriate medical records for each patient and document restorative care in the EMR; monitor CNA documentation for compliance in restorative care.
• Respect resident choices within safety and dignity considerations and follow facility policies to ensure resident privacy and dignity.
• Perform restorative care programs outlined for each resident as determined by the interdisciplinary team; provide feedback to the team; coach staff on restorative care and safety techniques.
• Follow universal precautions and infection control, sanitation, and safety standards in all work activities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Experience: 1 year Restorative nursing experience (Preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications: CNA - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire (Required); CPR/BLS Certification - AHA/ARC/American Safety and Health Institute (Required, within 30 Days)
