The Role
Associate Photographers are the versatile team responsible for media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Equipped with Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment and iPad, our Associate Photographers create virtual tours, floorplans and photography for residential homes. Each Associate Photographer is assigned a core territory in which they service clients of Homes.com and Apartments.com.
Photographers will have appointments set for defined dates and times to scan homes and apartments with Matterport Pro3 cameras, capturing virtual tours and floor plans. They will also perform residential photography for marketing purposes. This role works closely with clients, sales associates, logistics and the management team. Photographers are managed remotely by a Photography Manager located in local markets.
Responsibilities
- Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing 3-D virtual tours and footprints.
- Create a portfolio of photographs to feature homes and apartments, using photography techniques to capture spaces effectively.
- Work with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client needs.
- Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks.
- Navigate one-mile square grids to identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to photograph when not on residential assignments.
- Adhere to CoStar safety standards to safeguard vehicles and equipment.
- Represent CoStar professionally at all times.
- Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive sitting in a car, standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day.
- Must lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements to operate a tablet, laptop, or camera equipment.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying as needed.
- Ability to work and drive outside during all seasons.
- Ability to work weekends on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience.
- Real estate photography experience required.
- Experience as a professional photographer or a recently earned degree in photography.
- Drone photography with FAA Part 107 license/certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
- Strong time management and high attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately capture and enter data.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Field experience preferred.
- Current and valid driver’s license required.
- Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract prior to start; driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.
Compensation
The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus-eligible. Bonuses are paid monthly based on performance against predefined metrics. The role is hourly and offers pay amounts to $50,000 annually, with the potential for monthly bonuses up to $70,000 in total compensation.
