Overview Media Relations Manager, PR Agency (health tech, biotech) role at KNB Communications. Base pay range is provided below. The position is remote with central or eastern hours. KNB Communications is an award-winning PR and marketing agency focused on healthcare. We provide marketing and PR services for top health tech and life sciences companies worldwide. We seek a media relations expert to lead client media relations programs and craft compelling storytelling. Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Responsibilities Own the success of media relations programs for our clients Craft unique and creative pitches and secure media coverage Author high-quality content, including press releases, pitches, byline articles, case studies, and other collateral Cultivate strong relationships with media, industry leaders, clients, freelancers, KNB vendors, and other stakeholders Set media relations strategy, linking complex issues with newsworthy coverage potential Manage the delivery of PR campaigns across all media platforms Lead proactive and reactive media relations efforts to achieve high-impact placements Develop and implement evolving quarterly media strategies Coordinate interview processes and develop key messages and briefing sheets for clients Monitor media trends and share media reports and deliverables with clients Create and update target media lists, messaging matrices, and editorial calendars Maintain and update agency media database Offer new ideas and initiatives to the team Assist with new business research, proposal writing, and presentations as needed Demonstrate enthusiasm in client communications and celebrate successes with clients and the KNB team Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher 7+ years of PR/communications experience (recovering journalists welcome) Past work in health tech, pharma, biotech, or life sciences Proven proficiency securing earned placements (online, broadcast, and print) Robust network of traditional and online media contacts Ability to maintain and foster relationships with clients and media Strategic planner and effective implementer Be deadline-driven, able to prioritize and adapt under pressure Knowledge of best practices in communications, media, and PR Superior writing skills Strong collaboration, creativity, and proactive attitude Pluses Familiar with an agency environment Working knowledge of software such as Muck Rack, Cision, PR Newswire, SEM Rush, and HubSpot Understanding of regulatory and compliance challenges for drug commercialization Why our team loves KNB Innovative and award-winning expertise Diverse, energetic, positive culture Excellent 401k, health, dental, and vision plans Generous PTO, including vacation, parental leave, and summer Fridays 100% remote work Collaborative, inclusive, engaging process Other Information This position reports to the Vice President of Communications + Client Services KNB Communications is based in Stamford, CT Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm ET Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Marketing, Public Relations, and Writing/Editing Industries: Public Relations and Communications Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at KNB Communications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
