Plumbing Designer
To provide engineering and design support for various commercial, municipal, and institutional projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design of service water piping, sewage disposal systems, specialty piping, fire safety systems
- Verifying that designs meet local and national building codes
- Conduct predesign site visits to survey existing conditions, prepare preliminary drawings, and obtain necessary approvals
- Develop contract documents (calculations, design drawings, schematics, and details) for construction and will review submittals to verify conformance with those documents
- Conduct site observations to verify conformance with contract documents and building codes.
Required:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- 2-4 years of commercial plumbing design experience (municipal and institutional project experience is a plus)
- Autodesk Revit proficient
- EIT preferred
- Excellent communication skills
Location: Marietta, GA
Duration: Permanent
Salary: $60-$70K
