You will develop and execute a public relations strategy to increase the organization's brand awareness, media coverage, and positive reputation. Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other communications materials. Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts. Manage the organization's social media presence and create engaging content. Organize and oversee special events and media conferences. Think critically and solve problems effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Digital Aid Seattle is seeking a civic-minded Public Relations Lead to join our team!

Qualifications:

  • Coursework or degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience in a public relations role or a role with transferrable skills, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with social media and digital marketing is a plus.
  • Ability to speak publicly and give presentations.
  • Experience with crisis communications.
