Our client is a nationally recognized general contractor with a proven track record in multifamily and mixed-use developments. Known for their commitment to quality and safety, they are expanding their team for a major ground-up project in Southeast Virginia.
Job Description
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks for field personnel
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and local regulations
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with project leadership and subcontractors to promote safety
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters on site

The Successful Applicant
A successful Safety Manager should have:
- 5+ years of safety management experience in construction
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
- CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30/500 certification preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with multifamily or large-scale commercial projects a plus
- Competitive salary range, estimated between $90000 and $110000 annually.
