Overview
The Account-Based Marketing Manager is responsible for initiating and developing marketing activities for each assigned account. This role supports the Sales teams by identifying customer insights, understanding the environment, competition and needs, and proposing a dedicated value proposition to differentiate our offerings.
The objective is to gain a deep understanding of each account's needs, environment and potential, to support the Key Account Managers and Account Managers with new business opportunities identification, proposing dedicated and competitive value offers, with a tactical approach to develop the business.

Job Summary
The mission requires servant leadership, ensuring tight-knit collaboration, partnership and full alignment with Sales teams and Leaders to support them effectively in meeting their objectives.
The Account-Based Marketing Manager will understand market evolution with support from the global marketing team and translate strategy into a dedicated tactical plan for each account (5P), including an omnichannel strategy and support for commercial excellence.
Responsibilities
Become the vital bridge between Sales and Marketing by orchestrating account marketing plans that translate strategy into action. Work with Sales Management, Platforms and Global Marketing to craft strategic roadmaps with clear ownership, defined goals and timelines that drive measurable results.
Your Mission: Empowering Sales Excellence
- Sales Enablement Champion: Directly support Key Account Managers in surpassing targets by addressing their needs with tailored solutions and strategic insights
- Cross-Therapeutic Expert: Develop expertise across therapeutic areas to showcase our complete portfolio to diverse customer segments
- Strategic Market Analyst: Lead market segmentation, uncover opportunities, craft value propositions, conduct competitive analyses and develop objection handling strategies
Strategic Impact & Tactical Excellence
- Own sales enablement and go-to-market tactics that drive meaningful results
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers to develop customized action plans for each account with precise targeting and sophisticated pipeline management
- Design and implement omnichannel account-centric digital marketing approaches that generate demand; create and deliver training for Sales teams to articulate our value
Shaping the Future Through Customer Insights
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team to amplify the Voice of Customers across Global functions; identify unmet needs and emerging trends to guide future development and innovation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Marketing or MBA
- 3 years of experience in operational marketing
- Ability to travel 30-40% domestic and international
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in strategic account marketing to enterprise accounts
- Experience developing marketing tactics for major global accounts, preferably in life sciences/pharmaceutical industry
- Experience working closely with sales on projects/campaigns or training sales
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities with marketing expertise in Pharma
- Ability to translate strategy into execution and support commercial success of global accounts
- Strong presentation and marketing skills with business acumen
- Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration
Workplace & Policies
BD emphasizes on-site collaboration; a minimum of 4 days in-office per week is typical to maintain culture and operations. Remote or field roles will have different arrangements as indicated in the posting.
