The Music Teacher is responsible for providing instruction, leadership and supervision to students in music classes throughout the year. Experience working with lower school students is strongly preferred.

Music Teacher Responsibilities:

• Teaching multiple sections of Music courses for students in grades PreK-5th grade.
• Teach music courses that fosters student's passion for music and builds foundational skills through singing, movement, instrument playing, music theory, and history.
• Collaborate with faculty members to integrate curriculum across different subject areas.
• Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons.
• Direct and prepare students for school concerts and planned music experiences.
• Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after school music clubs.
• Communicate with parents regularly regarding student behavior.

Music Teacher Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Education or related required.
• Previous experience working with lower school students required.
• At least 2 years of K-12 teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with choirs, guitar, and voice instruction preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
