Responsibilities

  • Teaching multiple sections of Music courses for students in grades PreK-5th.
  • Teach music courses that fosters student's passion for music and builds foundational skills.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to foster an engaging music curriculum across grade levels.
  • Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons.
  • Direct and prepare students for school concerts and planned music experiences.
  • Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after school music clubs.
  • Integrate music education with core subjects to reinforce classroom concepts through music.
  • Ability to teach and supervise students in using the guitar or piano.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music, Education or related required.
  • Previous experience working with lower school students required.
  • At least 2 years of K-12 teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with choirs, guitar, and voice instruction preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
