Project Overview

Move Minnesota is seeking a communications partner to create five 60-90 second educational videos that will advance our education work. This includes scripting, shooting, and editing for multiple platforms (key social platforms, presentations).

Project Background

As the Transportation Management Organization for the City of Saint Paul, Move Minnesota educates employers, property managers, and the public about sustainable transportation and encourages people to get around by walking, biking, or taking transit. We provide everything from hands-on experiential education to advice for property owners about how to reduce the demand for parking when building new housing. With over two decades of experience working directly with the public and clients on behavior change, Move Minnesota seeks to expand our video educational materials and inspire more people to walk, bike, roll, and take the bus.

About Move Minnesota

Move Minnesota is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are leaders in the movement for sustainable, equitable transportation that puts people first. We connect people to walking, biking, and transit where the system works well, and fight hard to ensure it works better for everyone. Our strategies include advocacy, education, organizing, policy development, and narrative change.

Project Priorities

Objectives

  • To raise awareness and shape personal choices to increase public transit, biking, walking, and rolling.
  • Educate members of the public on key decision-making factors, such as new transit lines or programs.
  • Provide practical tips for people making a switch in how they get around.
  • Activate people using key values narrative frames (sustainability, health, climate, public good, etc.)
  • Build brand awareness and visibility for Move Minnesota, leveraging related work for larger impact.

Key Audiences

  • Saint Paul residents, visitors, and employees who would currently drive, and would like to ride transit, bike, walk, and roll more often.
  • People traveling through Saint Paul during rush hour
  • Ages 18-40

Proposed Deliverables

Full production of five 60-90 second educational videos that will advance Move Minnesota's education work. This includes scripting, storyboarding, music/sound design mix, graphic design, shooting video, editing, revisions (two rounds of revisions on final cuts), signed releases for recognizable individuals, and licenses for any stock video, images, or music used.

The tone and vibe of the videos should be positive, relatable, humorous, and fun. Because of the video content’s focus on commuting, most or all of the videos should plan to include content filmed outdoors and will need to be flexible depending on the weather.

Final video content should be ready for use on social media and websites, as well as other high-quality presentation uses.
