Overview Our partner is seeking a Service Design Architect to help shape the future of digital experiences in the commercial banking space. This role is focused on service design, discovery, and journey mapping—working across complex enterprise systems to improve how commercial clients are onboarded and authenticated. The Service Design Architect will collaborate with research, business, and design leaders to create insights, blueprints, and strategies that drive a seamless, integrated digital experience.
Responsibilities Service Design Architect will lead service design and UX discovery efforts, including interviews, observations, and workshops
Translate research into service blueprints, journey maps, personas, and ecosystem diagrams
Partner with cross-functional teams to define UX strategy, roadmap, and vision
Facilitate collaboration between design, research, product, and development teams
As a Service Design Architect, you will present findings, insights, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
Align UX patterns and design systems with enterprise standards for consistency and scalability
Support usability testing, design reviews, and product development alignment
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, Information Sciences, or related field
5+ years of UX/service design experience in large enterprise environments
Strong background in service design methodologies: discovery interviews, journey mapping, service blueprints, and ecosystem mapping
Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder alignment sessions, and presenting findings
Skilled in UX lifecycle methods: research, information architecture, interaction design, content strategy, accessibility, and prototyping
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/SAFe frameworks
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Comfort with ambiguity, complex problem-solving, and fast-paced environments
Ability to synthesize insights into actionable design strategies
Preferred Qualifications Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries
Experience using JIRA or similar tools for project tracking
Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, accessibility standards)
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision)
Compensation and Benefits The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
