JOB TITLE: Residency Manager, Jentel Artist Residency ABOUT JENTEL: The Jentel Artist Residency is a nonprofit artist residency that is a major initiative of the Neltje Center, operated by the University of Wyoming. Jentel offers dedicated individuals a supportive environment to further their creative development. JOB PURPOSE: This full-time, on-site position oversees all aspects of Jentel’s operation, from managing the application review process and residency schedule and logistics, to hosting and supporting artists, overseeing staff and facility’s needs, and ensuring the atmosphere of calm, care, and professionalism that defines the Jentel experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide operational oversight of the Jentel Artist Residency and assist with oversight of the Neltje Center. Monitor maintenance issues and general upkeep of interior/exterior spaces. Serve as secondary on-site emergency contact. Manage resident experience and programming. Provide administrative support for the Jentel Artist Residency. Supervise full-time, part-time and seasonal staff and help create a collaborative and supportive team culture. Assist in community engagement activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree Experience: Two years of experience in the arts or non-profit sector required. Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: Valid driver's license. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in arts management or a closely related field. More than two years’ experience working in an artist residency, nonprofit program management, or arts administration.
