The Role
We are seeking a full-time, in-person Project Architect to join our growing NYC studio. This role will focus on managing and producing architectural drawing sets for commercial interior fit-outs, particularly in the QSR and hospitality space. The ideal candidate is technically strong, deadline-driven, and comfortable owning a project from SD through CDs, permitting, and construction support.
Responsibilities
Lead drawing set development from schematic design through construction documents
Coordinate closely with in-house design and project management teams
Prepare permit sets and manage AHJ submittals with oversight from Construction Director
Own consultant coordination and integration (MEP, structural, lighting, etc.)
Participate in client meetings, site surveys, and field documentation
Perform code reviews, zoning checks, and accessibility analysis
Support RFI responses, submittal reviews, and construction administration tasks
Uphold brand standards across multiple locations and ensure design intent is executed
Requirements
5+ years of experience in commercial architecture (hospitality/QSR experience strongly preferred)
Proficiency in Revit is required
Deep familiarity with code and permitting processes
Experience preparing coordinated CD sets and consultant packages
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
Skilled communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver
Professional degree in Architecture required; licensure is a plus
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of DOB and permitting platforms
Experience with rollout or multi-unit development
Knowledge of building envelope and base-building coordination
Experience mentoring architectural staff or working with offshore teams
