Responsibilities
- Work in tandem with the Principal and Senior Designers to develop plans and interior design concepts
- Work with the Principal to source and select finishes, fixtures, lighting, hardware & accessories.
- Act as liaison with clients, contractors, and vendors regarding the technical aspects of the project
- Coordinate and produce construction and design documents.
- Review and detail shop drawings for construction plans.
- Manage and review schedules, construction details, and project deliverables.
- Ensures regular reviews at key design stages with the Principal Designer
- Travels to the job site, design center, and showrooms as needed.
- Prepare presentation materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design / Architecture
- 3+ years of experience in a residential design setting
- A solid competency in the technical aspects of construction
- Strong experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and InDesign
- Knowledge of design process - FF&E, specifications, finish, and material selections
- Knowledge of local and online showrooms, resources, and industry trends
- Comfortable and confident communicating with vendors, subcontractors and clients
- Contribute to a small studio environment with flexibility, problem-solving and good judgment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control, with capacity to work independently and multitask.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based file systems
- Must have a valid MA driver’s license
