Nicole Hogarty Designs is a boutique, full-service design firm located in the heart of Boston’s South End. We are a well-established firm thoughtfully growing and seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our team.

Our studio prioritizes client relationships and leads with deep listening and solutions-based problem-solving. We believe that even the smallest of design details—down to the antique brass drawer pulls—impact our clients’ everyday sense of well-being. Responsibilities Work in tandem with the Principal and Senior Designers to develop plans and interior design concepts Work with the Principal to source and select finishes, fixtures, lighting, hardware & accessories. Act as liaison with clients, contractors, and vendors regarding the technical aspects of the project Coordinate and produce construction and design documents. Review and detail shop drawings for construction plans. Manage and review schedules, construction details, and project deliverables. Ensures regular reviews at key design stages with the Principal Designer Travels to the job site, design center, and showrooms as needed. Prepare presentation materials.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design / Architecture 3+ years of experience in a residential design setting A solid competency in the technical aspects of construction Strong experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and InDesign Knowledge of design process - FF&E, specifications, finish, and material selections Knowledge of local and online showrooms, resources, and industry trends Comfortable and confident communicating with vendors, subcontractors and clients Contribute to a small studio environment with flexibility, problem-solving and good judgment. Strong attention to detail and quality control, with capacity to work independently and multitask. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based file systems Must have a valid MA driver’s license
