Sr. UI/UX Front-End Development Engineer

We’re seeking a skilled Sr. UI/UX Front-End Engineer to develop high-quality web applications on our next-generation DTP platform utilizing AI for data enrichment, triage, and analytics. The majority of work is onsite at our client location in Bethesda, MD, but we offer a flexible work schedule and occasional remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using ReactJS and Python.
• Code, test, and debug new and existing web applications.
• Implement and refine user interfaces and conduct thorough unit testing via automated tooling.
• Collaborate with software, data engineers, and data scientists to ensure optimal performance and usability.
• Peer-review code written by fellow team members.
• Utilize virtualization technologies like Docker and Podman.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline plus 8-12 years relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience with modern front‑end libraries such as ReactJS and/or Angular.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and solid understanding of HTTP web requests for fetching JSON data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to write well‑documented code.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Poly‑SCI.

Preferred

• Passion for creating great user experiences.
• Experience writing front‑end unit tests.
• Experience writing backend web API services, especially Python.
• Familiarity with NoSQL datastores such as Elasticsearch and performance optimization techniques.
• Up‑to‑date with emerging front‑end technologies.

Pay Range

Pay Range $104,650.00 – $189,175.00

Leidos pays a competitive salary commensurate with experience and responsibilities. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, market data, and applicable agreements.
