This is a 3-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid on-site contract role located in Cupertino, CA or New York, NY.

Pay Rate: $86.58 per hour

The Visual Designer, Design Systems & Structures will create and maintain world-class visual experiences across digital products and content platforms. This designer will collaborate with art direction, creative, and cross-functional teams to craft compelling and consistent visual solutions that enhance the design system’s overall cohesion and impact. The role requires both creative vision and technical execution — someone who thrives in developing end-to-end design solutions that blend strategy, storytelling, and craft.

• 5+ years of experience in visual, editorial, or digital design
• Passion for visual storytelling, editorial design, and digital content experiences
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with Sketch, Figma, or prototyping tools is a plus
• Strong foundation in branding, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Experienced in designing for multiple platforms, screens, and media formats
• Skilled in collaborating with creative directors, art directors, designers, and cross-functional partners
• Able to balance conceptual thinking with design precision and production efficiency
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and delivering high-quality work under tight timelines
• Adaptable, curious, and able to bring creative energy to both conceptual and production phases

In this role, you will design and refine visual systems and structures for digital content and experiences.

You’ll partner with creative leadership and cross-functional teams to execute artwork based on existing design system templates and contribute to the evolution of conceptual design directions.

• Translating creative direction into visually consistent assets and templates
• Developing and maintaining system-based design assets for digital platforms
• Producing polished visual designs that align with broader creative and brand strategies
• Iterating on conceptual ideas from art direction and applying them across diverse media formats
• Collaborating with writers, designers, and developers to ensure design intent is carried through to final implementation
• Presenting and packaging design work clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders

You will also support design system documentation and ongoing refinements, ensuring scalability, clarity, and cohesion across all visual deliverables.

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Background in editorial, publishing, digital content, or design systems work
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design craft, conceptual thinking, and stylistic range
• Experience with prototyping, layout design, and visual storytelling preferred

This opportunity is located in Cupertino, CA or New York, NY and requires hybrid on-site work.

The pay for this W-2 position is $86.58 per hour.
