Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Art teachers for Advanced Teen and Adult Students to teach digital and traditional art techniques. Our classes run on weekday afternoons and weekends and the possibility of extra subbing classes and to teach in our Summer Camps starting in June at our Middletown, NJ school location.

During the School year our classes typically start at 3:30pm so it is a great opportunity for public and private school art teachers and current art students in graduate programs to earn extra money doing what they love. In the Summer we have classes running Mon-Fri from 9am to 6pm. You can teach mornings, afternoons or both for as many weeks as you need.

Our curriculum is created centrally so there is minimal prep required and all tools, equipment and supplies are provided. Our Digital teachers need to be experts in the Adobe Creative Suite on Mac: Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, After Effects. In addition we need our teacher to be familiar with Blender 3D and Procreate.

You will teach one or more of a variety of proprietary studio or digital art classes. Our students are beginner to advanced level. Our students are motivated and hardworking. Our class sizes are small and there is no prep needed outside of the classroom. You will deliver the curriculum with enthusiasm and tailor instruction to suit individual students' needs.

Qualifications / Requirements

• 1+ years of experience teaching traditional studio art, digital art or digital design classes (Anime and Manga style a preference)
• BFA or BS Art Education
• Illustrator, Animate, Photoshop, Blender, Procreate.
• Thoughtful communication skills
• A passion for One River School's mission
• Must live within easy commutable distance from work site location
