Community Manager
The Community Manager oversees the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. As an on-site leader, you will manage all phases of the operations including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, and risk management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personnel Management: screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; complete weekly schedules and assignments; address performance problems.
- Financial Management: achieve net operating income through cost control and revenue improvement; develop yearly operating budgets; monitor rent collections and vendor invoices.
- Strategic Leasing Management: develop marketing plans; implement resident retention programs; lease and move in prospective residents.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management: ensure accurate reporting; manage emergency responses; monitor service request turnaround; maintain property appearance.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or four-year experience in the housing industry; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Regular communication, repetitive motions, ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours.
- Standing or sitting for extended periods; move between work sites.
- Occasional ladder, scaffolding, and exposure to hazardous chemicals and extreme temperatures.
License & Equipment
Must have reliable transportation due to the emergency on-call requirement.
Salary Range
$25,000 per year to $27,000 per year
