Overview Our client, a leader in the building products category, is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the Construction and Carpet segments within the Polymers business. Relocation assistance is offered. This is a key strategic role focused on aligning regional initiatives with global goals, managing financial performance, leading high-impact contract negotiations, and identifying new growth opportunities across complex, global markets. You’ll work across functions - sales, R&D, supply chain, technical service - and be responsible for shaping market strategy, managing customer relationships, and driving top-line growth in a fast-changing and competitive environment.
Locations: New Jersey
Salary: $140,000-$150,000
Travel: ~25%

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute regional marketing strategies aligned with global business objectives.
Manage financial performance, including revenue and profitability targets.
Lead major customer relationships and drive high-level contract negotiations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, supply chain, commercial, and technical) to ensure market readiness and alignment.
Serve as a primary marketing lead on new business exploration, including entry into adjacent markets or applications.
Work closely with global marketing and regional teams to ensure consistency across customer engagement and contract strategies.
Provide leadership across a matrixed organization, ensuring accountability and strategic focus.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Engineering preferred); Master’s degree (MS/MBA) is a plus.
8-10+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or commercial leadership roles, ideally in specialty chemicals or materials.
Proven success managing complex customer relationships and global accounts.
Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization.
Familiarity with product development, technical service, and application engineering processes.
Strong contract negotiation skills, including experience with large, long-term agreements.
Effective communicator and influencer across multiple levels of the business.
Proficiency with SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office tools.
Comfortable leading in multicultural, cross-regional environments.
