Web Developer Job at Baal & Spots in Houston

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, designers, content writers, and clients in a professional, clear, and friendly manner
• Develop pixel‑perfect websites and interactive experiences with a wide range of libraries, APIs, web services, frameworks, and CMSs
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for websites built with WordPress and React
• Learn latest frameworks, techniques and standards

Experience

• Comfortable with ambiguity, self‑sufficiency, and proactive in projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong aesthetic sense for how animations and interactions should look, feel and move
• Knowledge of code versioning best practices (Git) and code hygiene
• Worked with WordPress before and is familiar with other CMSs
• Familiar with modern front‑end build pipelines and tools (Webpack, Node, etc.)
• Working knowledge of React + NextJS / Gatsby, headless CMSs, and serverless functions
• Familiar with RESTful / GraphQL APIs
• Knowledge in navigating and exporting assets from Sketch app and other design tools
• Passion for building interactive websites using CSS animations, WebGL, Lottie.js, Three.js, etc.
• Bonus: experience with AR, VR, native app development, or DevOps
