Opportunity
This 9‑month, non‑tenure earning, annually renewable position will begin in August 2026.

Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses and, depending on highest degree, teach graduate courses.
- Support the Film MFA degree by providing critiques, mentoring students, and serving on graduate thesis committees.
- Teach in face‑to‑face and online modalities.
- Provide student advising (academic and career) and actively participate in faculty meetings, graduations, assessment of student learning, and committee work.
- Serve in accordance with the department’s equitable workload policy.
- There is no research expectation, but scholarly activities may be supported.
Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree (for an instructor) or a terminal degree (for a lecturer) in Radio‑Television, Mass Media Production, Film Production, or a related field from an accredited institution. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree as their highest degree will be considered for an instructor only if they can document a minimum of ten years of professional experience in film and television production.
- Must have experience teaching hands‑on production courses.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative educational environment.
- Must have experience teaching across both mass media and film degree programs.
- Must have a working familiarity with film and media production technologies and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of college‑level teaching experience in one or more of the following: videography, cinematography, studio/control room production, lighting, editing, production management, audio production, or media management.
- Experience working with and/or teaching virtual production technologies.
- Professional experience and fluency in studio/control room production, videography, lighting, editing and post‑production workflows, post‑sound design, color grading, or mixing.
- Experience teaching in different modalities including face‑to‑face and online.
