Job Description

  • This role focuses on the visual appearance and design schematics of products, communications, and collateral materials.
  • While not creating the initial designs, the position assembles schematics for production, collaborates on ideation, concept development, and branding, and leads or independently completes key design projects (e.g., print, packaging, 3D retail displays, event signage, logo systems, imagery, video).
  • The role involves project management across internal teams and suppliers, cost control, supplier coordination, and acting as a liaison between managers and outside agencies.
  • The position supports the Sportswear team at Beaverton WHQ, contributing to high-priority apparel and footwear projects with the possibility of future full-time conversion depending on business needs and performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assemble production schematics for factory use.
  • Assist with ideation, concept development, and branding initiatives.
  • Lead team projects and independently execute design assignments.
  • Develop print, packaging, 3D retail displays, event signage, logo systems, imagery, and video collateral.
  • Utilize computerized systems in the design process, particularly Adobe Suite.
  • Manage projects from concept through production and distribution, including setting and maintaining work-back schedules.
  • Oversee budgets, supplier coordination, and ensure quality standards.
  • Estimate project development costs and manage cost control for both individual and grouped projects.
  • Act as a liaison between management (Image Design, Marketing, Product Design) and outside agencies.
  • Clearly communicate project details, design requirements, and scheduling needs with internal and external partners.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience; 7-8 years of experience may substitute for degree.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite.
  • Skilled in using Mac laptops and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills working with designers and factory partners.
  • Experience in project management and maintaining quality and budget standards.
  • Passion for sportswear and streetwear.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience with sportswear brands
  • Experience working with screen printing
  • Familiarity with CLO 3D fashion design software
  • Background in supplier coordination and cost estimation for multiple project types
