Starting Hourly Rate Grade LTA: $16.81

9 month

Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Know the operational procedures of the Library Learning Center
Ability to function within the framework of the fast-paced, flexible school environment (class periods, bell schedules, large groups of students etc.)
Competent in basic computer and internet applications; competence in Google Apps for Education and Chromebooks a plus

Assist with opening and closing the library daily
Assist students and staff with the use of all of the library’s resources including books, textbooks, novels, online resources, AV equipment, and Chromebooks
Help with routine library duties including tech support; circulating materials; shelving books; responding to student and staff inquiries; participating in library special events; assisting in annual inventory; and maintaining the library space
Assist in the maintenance of the collection: mending, cleaning, inventory, packing, withdrawing, processing, and displaying books and Chromebooks
Assist in the distribution and collection of Chromebooks and textbooks during the school year and over summer dates outside the school year
Assist with special events and promotions as well as any special projects requested by the librarian such as weeding the collection and conducting special research projects
Oversee the Wheaton North Chromebook collection
Maintain Wheaton North’s archive materials including the digital scrapbook
