Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Position Overview: As the Director of Consumer Public Relations, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic PR campaigns for consumer clients. You will lead a team of PR professionals, manage client relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality results that align with clients' business objectives. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to be onsite in the NYC office 2 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies for consumer brands, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives. Lead and mentor a team of PR professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring their satisfaction with services. Oversee the creation of press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials, ensuring they are compelling, accurate, and aligned with brand messaging. Manage media relations, securing coverage in top-tier consumer and lifestyle publications, both online and offline. Monitor and analyze PR campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to clients and internal stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PR, and apply this knowledge to enhance service offerings. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations Minimum of 7 years of experience in consumer PR, with a proven track record of leading successful campaigns and managing client relationships. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity. Extensive media relations experience, with established contacts in the consumer and lifestyle media space. Ability to think strategically and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills.
