This position is focused on building innovative user experiences for YouTube’s video creators, leveraging Generative AI technologies to empower creativity and streamline production workflows. Minimum qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 8+ years of experience in product design or UX. Portfolio or website demonstrating your work (include a viewable link or access instructions). Preferred qualifications Experience creating video, editing, and mobile products, or a record of building consumer product experiences across complex projects. Understanding of the needs and workflows of video creators. Knowledge of various Generative AI (GenAI) models and the latest advancements and underlying principles of these technologies. Ability to translate complex AI capabilities into a clear and compelling product goal. Responsibilities Have an understanding of video creator user needs and GenAI technology, develop and advocate UX strategies to further empower video creation on YouTube. Represent the UX team's perspective in strategic discussions and decision‑making processes. Advocate for user‑centered design principles across the organization. Build strong relationships and effective communication channels across the organization. About the team and culture Google’s Interaction Designers take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy‑to‑use for billions of people. The UX team collaborates with researchers, writers, content strategists, program managers, and engineers to create industry‑leading products that deliver value for users and for Google’s businesses. As an Interaction Designer, you will rely on user‑centered design methods to craft industry‑leading user experiences—from concept to execution—while collaborating closely with design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language. Salary and benefits The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $178,000–$265,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
