They create and clarify product strategy, conceptualize UX ecosystems, and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You’ll guide the careers of your team, collaborate with leaders across UX, Engineering, and Product Management, and drive high-quality, user-centered experiences for YouTube. Responsibilities Understand video viewer user needs, develop and advocate UX strategies to empower engagement on YouTube. Represent the UX team in strategic discussions and decision-making processes. Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization. Manage and mentor a team of UX Designers. Collaborate with UX, Program Management (PM), Engineering, and YouTube leads to make YouTube the best home for creation. Minimum qualifications Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in product design or UX. 3 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams. Include a portfolio, website, or other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions). Preferred qualifications Experience working on video/media platforms, mobile products, and/or proven track record of building consumer product experiences across complex projects. Experience managing consensus across multiple teams with different goals. Understanding of video consumption/watch experiences on YouTube and similar platforms. Strong design sensibilities and ability to drive high-quality UX. Ability to operate in a fluid, evolving, and collaborative environment.
