What we’re looking for :
First + foremost : A strong executor who can handle both technical and strategic SEO work
2 years of experience implementing technical SEO and strategy planning on accounts
A high performer who has at least one year of professional working experience (any industry, but bonus for digital marketing and / or agency experience)
Ability to problem solve performance issues and identify optimization opportunities on accounts
A curious problem-solver who digs in when roadblocks arise
Experience working with small businesses is a huge bonus (especially contractors, roofers, HVAC, etc.)
A four-year degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Statistics, or similar, is highly preferred

What you’ll be doing :
Implement technical work and SEO strategies across 20+ client accounts
Liaise with the Head of SEO on account performance and pivots
Identify technical tasks that can be delegated to our team of remote contractors
Perform quality assurance on work completed by remote contractors
Assist in training new Technicians and remote contractors
Support site launches and technical setup on client sites
Perform keyword research
Setup content calendars
Perform content optimization & site audit fixes
Create internal linking
Commit to proactively learning, asking questions, and leveling up your SEO skills
This is a position at a high performing, fast-paced digital marketing agency that values team culture and employee well-being. We believe in working hard and taking full ownership of our roles, and the ideal candidate for this position will feel strongly about those things as well.
We're in the office 3 days a week and have the option to work remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays, however new hires are required to be in the office 5 days a week (with their team) for the first month to ensure adequate support and a seamless integration. You can expect to work 40 - 45 hours per week. If you aren't able to make the commitment to our schedule and hours, please do not apply.
The salary range is $50,000 - 60,000 annually and will depend on experience. This position is eligible for commission once you begin owning client accounts, typically 6 - 12 months in. All roles at Hook Agency are subject to a 30-day probationary period.
