Augusta University's Department of Art and Design is seeking an exceptional candidate for a full-time Lecturer position in Media Arts anticipated to begin August 2026. We seek individuals who can teach courses such as post-production within our BFA in Digital and Visual Storytelling curriculum, as well as a survey course in digital tools (covering software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) in support of the BFA in Art and BA in Art degree programs. This nine-month renewable appointment carries a 90% teaching and 10% service workload. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track. Responsibilities Teach courses such as post-production within our BFA in Digital and Visual Storytelling curriculum, Teach a survey course in digital tools (covering software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). Contribute to departmental, college, and university service through committees and community engagement.
Required Qualifications
MFA in Film Production or Digital Media Production or equivalent degree in appropriate discipline or its equivalent in training, ability, or experience.
Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be: Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation; Evidence of ability as a teacher; Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned; Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and, Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter and yearly contract.
The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0.
Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
