Job Summary Augusta University's Department of Art and Design is seeking an exceptional candidate for a full-time Lecturer position in Media Arts anticipated to begin August 2026. The appointment is a nine-month renewable, 90% teaching and 10% service workload and does not meet tenure track requirements.
Responsibilities
Teach courses such as post‑production within our BFA in Digital and Visual Storytelling curriculum.
Teach a survey course in digital tools covering software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Contribute to departmental, college, and university service through committees and community engagement.
Required Qualifications MFA in Film Production or Digital Media Production or equivalent degree in appropriate discipline or its equivalent in training, ability, or experience.
Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation.
Evidence of ability as a teacher.
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned.
Successful experience (waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements).
Desirable personal qualities judged on personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign.
Shift/Salary/Benefits This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter and yearly contract.
Full-time equivalent is 1.0.
Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.

Rank and salary determined at time of hire based on internal equity and market data. Advancement through faculty ranks is only through the annual Promotion and Tenure process.
