We are seeking a highly organized and proactive
Event Planner (Intermediate)
to support Corporate Responsibility initiatives within a major
financial services
firm. This role will focus on planning and executing high-impact events that support community engagement and strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and execute complex in-person and virtual events (10 to 1,000 attendees)
Lead site selection, vendor negotiation, and end-to-end logistics
Manage invitations, RSVPs, hotel/travel, event supplies, signage, and branded materials
Support onsite registration, setup, and attendee experience
Collaborate with leadership to deliver strategic, community-impactful events
Oversee budget tracking, invoicing, and post-event reconciliation
Maintain calendars, reports, and internal event systems
Ensure compliance with risk, branding, and operational policies
Required, qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
4-6 years of experience in events and project coordination or closely related field
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to deliver messages clearly and succinctly
Ability to manage projects across businesses, functions and geographies and to build strong relationships with diverse audiences
Exceptional client focus and service ethic
Self-starter, strong sense of ownership, extremely organized, detail oriented with strong commitment to accuracy, forward-thinking, proactive
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
High degree of professionalism, flexibility, good judgement and discretion
Capacity to manage multiple people on the event site
Calm appearance under pressure – ability to respond quickly and diplomatically to stressful, difficult, fast-paced and changing situations
Ability to work extended hours, which may include evening and/or weekend event support
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Travel to offsite locations as necessary
