Public Relations Coordinator Part‑Time – 20 hours a week (Contract). Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in public relations or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (education and experience combinations considered). Skills and Abilities High degree of tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Works well both as part of a team and independently. Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on PowerPoint. Ability to prioritize and work diligently in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of media landscape. Knowledge of social media landscape. Responsibilities Entry‑level role providing hands‑on experience in media relations, content creation, event support, and project management, working closely with the Director of Public Relations and cross‑functional partners. Draft press materials including releases, media alerts, and briefing documents. Assist with proactive media outreach and respond to journalist inquiries. Create and edit PowerPoints and presentations for multiple levels of the organization. Draft LinkedIn copy and support various social media requests. Monitor media coverage and prepare reports summarizing brand mentions, trends, and PR campaign performance. Respond to a wide variety of requests for information, policies and procedures, and executive action. Support SVP, Investor & Public Relations and direct team on ad hoc requests for PowerPoint / graphics. Coordinate event participation, planning, and logistics. Provide administrative and logistical support for PR events, sponsorships, and community initiatives. Coordinate vendor and agency partners to ensure successful execution of campaigns.
