Job Title: Librarian IV – Tulare County Library, Visalia, California (Hybrid)
Salary: $74,052 – $90,249 per year
Employment Type: Full‑time, indefinite duration
Location: Visalia, California (hybrid work options)

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage the main library or a region with system-wide responsibilities.
- Prepare a variety of correspondence, grants, reports, surveys, and budgets.
- Conduct research and stay current on library programs and services.
- Develop and recommend changes to policies, procedures, personnel, budgets, and services.
- Work with the county, community groups, schools, and other resources representing the library.
- Plan, organize, and supervise staff and various special projects.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent from an American Library Association accredited institution.
- Five (5) years of librarian experience, including demonstrated growth in supervision and management responsibilities with at least one year in a supervisory role equivalent to a Librarian III.
- One year as a library paraprofessional with demonstrated growth in supervision and management responsibilities can substitute one year of librarian experience.
- Experience managing and supervising a large branch library and system‑wide programs and services is desirable.
- Position is primarily onsite with occasional outreach and work-from-home opportunities.
