Job Summary
Student Assistants staff the Ingram Library Information Desks, providing users with basic library support and help with printers and computers. Duties also include recording Information Desk statistics and assisting with other general library tasks/projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Basic competence with computers and technology, good interpersonal skills, reliability and flexibility.
- Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade‑point average.
Physical Requirements or Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and crouch and stand as needed for minor computer troubleshooting or printer restocking tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with library website, databases, database searching, and use of library catalog.
- Ability to troubleshoot computer problems.
