Purpose The Marketing and Communications team with the LBJ School seeks a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for leading, managing, and executing comprehensive marketing and communications initiatives for the LBJ School, including direct supervision of team members, oversight of web and digital platforms, development of digital advertising and email campaigns, support for Executive Education and Governor’s Center, and coordination of strategic events. This role ensures brand consistency, drives enrollment growth, and fosters collaboration across marketing projects and stakeholder partnerships.
Responsibilities
Direct supervision of Events & Program Manager and Multimedia Producer
Lead LBJ Marketing & Communications team project management, conducting weekly team meetings and weekly report out to the CMCO.
Lead editorial oversight of LBJ website.
Lead marketing and communications efforts for Executive Education and Governor’s Center.
Lead editorial oversight of the LBJ School website ensuring content is current and aligned with LBJ brand pillars.
Manage web and web‑related projects from beginning to end.
Conduct quarterly content audits to LBJ web sites to improve user experience.
Create and edit content for email newsletters.
Design and execute email marketing drip campaigns for master/bachelor degree programs, including Executive Education.
Identify, evaluate and recommend paid advertising strategies to boost brand visibility and drive enrollment growth.
Create and execute digital campaigns and strategies to boost enrollment, web traffic and engagement for the LBJ School & Executive Education.
Regularly meet with and serve as lead marketing/communications contact for Executive Education and Governor’s Center, while overseeing marketing and promotional content creation.
Assist in partnership building, sponsorship outreach and prospect list management.
Support lead generation efforts to attract and nurture potential students.
Measure marketing campaign performance and recommend paid strategies to drive growth.
Assist in event support by creating and executing digital campaigns and strategies to boost enrollment, web traffic and engagement for the LBJ School & Executive Education.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 6 years’ experience in strategic marketing or related roles. Demonstrated ability to craft accurate, grammatically sound written content, encompassing headlines, short narratives, descriptions, and captions. Capability to independently generate compelling online content. Knowledge of SEO/SEM principles and best practices. Experience in overseeing paid advertising campaigns. This role requires strong project management skills, coordination with multiple stakeholders, managing complex timelines and ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and within scope.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
More than the required experience.
Google Analytics certification (candidates able to obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment may be considered).
Proven expertise in Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, Ads, and related tools in a professional capacity.
Proficiency in content management systems such as Drupal or WordPress.
Beginner to intermediate photo skills.
Beginner to intermediate graphic design skills in Adobe, Canva, or other design tools.
Salary Range $80,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
