Structural Designer/EIT

HDR . HDR is seeking a Structural Designer/EIT to support our Building Engineering Services team on-site in Charlotte, NC and Raleigh, NC. This role contributes to design development and coordination across projects within an employee-owned culture that values inclusion and collaboration. Location: United States-North Carolina-Charlotte; United States-North Carolina-Raleigh. Schedule: Full-time. Employee Status: Regular. Industry: Building Engineering. Responsibilities
Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects Provide direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed Perform other engineering tasks as needed (construction phase services: site visits, shop drawing reviews; development of calculation packages; coordination of design efforts with other disciplines, etc.) Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Structural Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression Local candidates preferred Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture About HDR and Inclusion
